Three ISMRM Merit Awards 2015 for Fraunhofer MEVIS

Fraunhofer MEVIS researchers Ina Nora Kompan and Federico von Samson-Himmelstjerna received a total of three ISMRM Merit Awards and a Poster Award at the 23rd Joint Annual Meeting of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) held from May 30 to June 5 in Toronto, Canada.

Federico von Samson-Himmelstjerna was awarded for the second time in a row with the ISMRM Summa Cum Laude Merit Award 2015 for his work “Subtraction Free Arterial Spin Labeling: A New Bayesian-Inference Based Approach for Gaining Perfusion Data from Time Encoded Data”.

Ina Nora Kompan received two ISMRM Magna Cum Laude Merit Awards 2015 for her submissions “Real-Time Automatic Resolution Adaption (AURA) for Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced MRI” and “Retrospective Resolution Adaption for DCE MRI Using 3D Golden Angle Radial Acquisition”. For the latter she received as well a Poster Award of the ISMRM Perfusion Study Group.

The prestigious ISMRM Summa and Magna Cum Laude Merit Awards are given to PhD students and young post-docs whose abstract scored respectively in the top 3% and 15% of all abstracts submitted to the same general category.
