On June 29, 2026, the Fraunhofer MEVIS Advisory Board convened in Bremen for its 18th meeting, chaired by Prof. Hans Maier.
In his presentation, the President and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Prof. Holger Hanselka, outlined the current situation and future prospects of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Institute Director Prof. Horst K. Hahn then presented the latest developments and strategic perspectives of Fraunhofer MEVIS.
Focus presentations and practical demonstrations by MEVIS scientists on the topics “Radiology Workplace of the Future,” “Software for Minimally Invasive Interventions,” and “Orthopedic Treatments” led to a lively, constructive discussion. The members of the Advisory Board provided valuable insights and recommendations.
Dr. Andrea Grebe, a physician, medical ethicist, and health scientist, was newly appointed to the Advisory Board. The former chair of the executive board of the Vivantes hospital network serves on various executive and supervisory boards, including the German Heart Center Foundation Berlin and the supervisory board of Südhessen Kliniken gGmbH.
