Technical improvement in our daily life is not possible without mathematics. However, many people do not know that mathematics plays a major role. The need for mathematicians is greater than ever – not only for the mathematical knowledge but often also for their excellent analytical skills.
Our aim is to provide interested pupils with insight into the broad, varied, and promising professional field of mathematics.It's more than arithmetic!
We will continue the series “Zukunftsfeld Mathematik – Mathematics: Field of the Future” with three talks on quantum computing, research on perception of music, and mathematical support in steel production.
In addition to the three presentations along with a moderated discussion, there will be an opportunity to talk to the speakers, other researchers, and experts in small groups.
