Fraunhofer MEVIS researcher David Black was awarded a mobility stipend by the German Society for Computer- and Robot-Assisted Surgery (CURAC - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Computer- und Roboterassistierte Chirurgie). He received the stipend to continue his research on the application of auditory display in minimally invasive surgery.

The mobility stipend for young scientists, awarded this year for the first time, serves to help initiate or support ongoing scientific collaboration in computer- and robot-assisted surgery, medicine, and related fields.

The CURAC mobility stipend was bestowed at the 13th CURAC annual conference in Munich from September 11 to 13.
