Today and tomorrow, May 26 and 27, Fraunhofer MEVIS and its partner, the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group (DIAG) of the Radboud University Medical Centre in Nijmegen, Netherlands, gather in Bremen for a symposium for all interested colleagues of the two MEVIS locations and DIAG. In the context of the symposium, the participants can get a first impression of the future Fraunhofer MEVIS building, located in the Technology Park next to the University of Bremen.

Today, the attendees from Lübeck, Nijmegen and Bremen fill the agenda with interesting talks and presentations about the scientific strategy, novel machine learning methods for automation in medical imaging, challenges and opportunities in large-scale multi-center projects and more. Thus, they have the opportunity to exchange ideas, have discussions and encourage collaboration between the partners. To strengthen the network and to get to know each other better, the evening will end in a nice atmosphere during a boat trip and a dinner.

On Friday, the researchers focus on interactive demonstrations of recent developments, posters and breakout sessions. For these sessions, the 80 attendees will split into smaller groups to exchange information, talk, discuss and to present their work, ask questions or give more ideas for improvements.
