This years BVM Workshop is an event of the University of Lübeck together with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) Lübeck. The aim of the workshop is to present current research results and to deepen the discussions between medical as well as technical scientists, industry and users.

The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) is a multi-disciplinary nonprofit association that promotes innovation, development, and application of magnetic resonance techniques in medicine and biology worldwide. This workshop covers advanced MRI techniques for measuring brain neurofluids (blood and CSF dynamics), their physiological interpretation, and clinical applications in disorders such as traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease, hydrocephalus, and sleep disorders. It includes sessions on emerging imaging methods, CSF physiology and waste clearance, hands-on MRI data analysis, and open-source tools.

In recent years, the federal state of Bremen has placed a strong focus in science on the intersections between artificial intelligence (AI) and health research. In order to promote this development in the discourse between science, politics, business, and society, and to focus in particular on the transformative potential of AI in sustainable healthcare, the Bremen Symposium “AI in Health” was established within the U Bremen Research Alliance (UBRA). This year, the symposium will take place on November 27, 2025.
