KI-gestützte Datenverarbeitung für intelligente klinische Lösungen. Die DMEA, Europas führende Veranstaltung für digitale Gesundheit, versammelt Expert:innen aus der Branche vom 9. bis 11. April 2024 in Berlin. Das Fraunhofer-Institut für Digitale Medizin MEVIS stellt auf der DMEA vier Anwendungen vor, die auf dem Einsatz von KI basieren.

Wie verändert Künstliche Intelligenz die Medizin? Was bedeutet sie für den Alltag in Klinik und Praxis? Und wie profitieren Patient:innen konkret von diesen Entwicklungen?

InterSurge ist ein interdisziplinärer Kongress zur digitalen Zukunft der Medizin, der Expert:innen aus Medizin, Wissenschaft, Technologie, Wirtschaft und Politik vernetzt. In Keynotes, Workshops und interaktiven Formaten werden aktuelle Entwicklungen zu KI, XR, Nachhaltigkeit und Robotik praxisnah erlebbar gemacht. Ziel ist es, die digitale Transformation des Gesundheitswesens durch Austausch, Kooperation und Innovation – insbesondere in der Region Nordwestdeutschland – aktiv mitzugestalten.

An zwei Stationen können Auszubildende und Schüler:innen erleben, wie sie zunächst in einer webbasierten Umgebung zum Trainieren einfacher KI‑Modelle eine eigene KI zur Gewebeanalyse bauen – und anschließend ein echtes medizinisches Forschungstool nutzen, um mit realen Bilddaten zu arbeiten. So wird der Weg von der Lern‑KI zum praxisnahen Forschungstool konkret erlebbar und zeigt, wie KI‑gestützte Bildanalyse in der Medizin eingesetzt werden kann.

Die International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI), eine der weltweit führenden Konferenzen im Bereich der Künstlichen Intelligenz, findet vom 15. bis 21. August 2026 gemeinsam mit der European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI) in Bremen statt. Mit rund 3.500 bis 4.000 Forschenden und Industrieexpertinnen und -experten aus aller Welt bietet die Konferenz ein erstklassiges Forum für die Präsentation und Diskussion der neuesten Fortschritte in der KI-Forschung und ihrer Anwendung.

The 22nd European Congress on Digital Pathology (ECDP 2026), taking place 17–20 June 2026 in Graz, Austria, will bring together experts from pathology, computer science, molecular biology, clinical medicine, and industry to advance collaboration in digital and computational pathology. The congress will focus on integrating digital pathology into routine diagnostics, highlighting whole slide imaging, AI-driven tools, molecular profiling, standardized data infrastructures, and clinical workflow integration.

The European Society of Thoracic Imaging (ESTI) will hold its 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting in Salzburg, Austria, from 4–6 June 2026. The scientific programme will highlight the latest advances and future trends in thoracic imaging, covering CT, MRI, interventional radiology, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, pulmonary hypertension, and AI applications. It will also include interactive sessions, multidisciplinary discussions, and industry-sponsored symposia to encourage collaboration across specialties and institutions.

In view of the rapid developments in pathology and its revolutionary innovations for the analysis of cells and tissues, the 109th DGP Annual Meeting will take place in Augsburg from May 28 to 30, 2026 under the motto "UNITED IN SCIENCE | Crossing lines | Creating knowledge"
