This year, regulatory affairs for medical devices, artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning (DL), and cybersecurity are in the focus of the meeting. Due to the coronavirus pandemic LSA 2020 is held online.

  • The U Bremen Research Alliance, a collaboration of the University and all federal and state funded non-university research institutions in Bremen and Bremerhaven, makes the research strength of the University and its non-university partners visible across the globe. The cooperation will now be further consolidated: The U Bremen Research Alliance will become a non-profit association.

  • The STEAM Imaging II workshops for pupils are part of an artist-in-residence program at Fraunhofer MEVIS in cooperation with the Ars Electronica Center in Linz and the International Fraunhofer Talent School Bremen. In the second edition of the program, two workshops took place, one at Fraunhofer MEVIS in Bremen on October 23-24, 2019 and one in Linz on November 14-15, 2019.
