Fraunhofer MEVIS scientists present at the 5th International Symposium on Focused Ultrasound in Bethesda, MD, about their recent work in the field of software assistance for FUS.

On Thursday, July 21, the kick-off meeting for the project MS-Atrophie took place at Fraunhofer MEVIS in Bremen. MS-Atrophie is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) under the program KMU-innovativ: Medizintechnik for three years.

Fraunhofer MEVIS researcher Dr.-Ing. Mathias Neugebauer was awarded with the Best Paper Award (1st Prize) at the 29th International Congress for Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (CARS), held from June 24 to 27 in Barcelona, Spain.

The exhibition showcases the development of computer graphics and the growth of the MEVIS Group over the last 40 years. Starting with the establishment of the Institute for Dynamic Systems in 1978, the exhibition presents institute spin-offs from the 1990s CeVis, MeVis, and MeVis Medical Solutions (MMS), as well as the adoption of MeVis Research into the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in 2009.
