  • Scientists from Fraunhofer MEVIS successfully participated in the Challenge on Ultrasound Beamforming with Deep Learning (CUBDL). The challenge was part of the 2020 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS) that took place in “virtual” Las Vegas from September 7-11.

  • We are delighted to be part of the Ars Electronica Festival 2020, with a guided tour, and a talk. Alongside our outstanding partners from Marshmallow Laser Feast (MLF) the researchers are jointly presenting a unique virtual tour of the Institute’s MRI Lab, including audience engagement and conversations with artists from Marshmallow Laser Feast and scientists from Fraunhofer MEVIS.

The cooperation will now be further consolidated: The U Bremen Research Alliance will become a non-profit association.

  • The STEAM Imaging II workshops for pupils are part of an artist-in-residence program at Fraunhofer MEVIS in cooperation with the Ars Electronica Center in Linz and the International Fraunhofer Talent School Bremen. In the second edition of the program, two workshops took place, one at Fraunhofer MEVIS in Bremen on October 23-24, 2019 and one in Linz on November 14-15, 2019.
