Today the 7th Eurographics Workshop on Visual Computing for Biology and Medicine (EG VCBM) opens its doors at Fraunhofer MEVIS in Bremen for two days of interdisciplinary exchange.

A study in ten patients with aortic valve replacement (AVR) indicates that model-based therapy planning is able to accurately predict post-operative haemodynamics after AVR.

Fraunhofer MEVIS researcher Jennifer Nitsch and Hans Meine won the NVIDIA Demo Contest at the 24th Project Week of the National Alliance for Medical Image Computing (NA-MIC) which was held during the week of January 9-13, 2017 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston.
